CareLogger – noticing when something’s not quite right
When I first started working in the carer field, we often talked about the Carer Life Course - the six stages many carers experience:
Suspicion that something is wrong
Confirmation of illness or condition
Adjusting
Managing
Purposeful coping
End of active caring role
The CareLogger app really sits in that first stage - when you start to notice changes but aren’t sure what they mean yet.
It gives carers a simple way to record what they’re seeing - changes in mood, behaviour, sleep, or daily routines - and then track patterns over time. When it’s time for an appointment, you can export the data and use it as evidence to support what you’ve been observing.
Even though many of us only start identifying as a “carer” much later, CareLogger is a gentle starting point - helping you trust your instincts and capture those early signs that something might be changing.
